Broadcaster, DJ and electronic music producer Lee Pylon’s dogs versus shadows presents ‘Documentarist’.

Skewed beats, otherworldly synths and warped, hypnotic melodies make up the 11 tracks, inspired by the poet, essayist and dramatist Paul Farley’s poem ‘Documentarist’.

In the poem, Farley writes of his love of old documentary footage, but if we looked through the lens of these old clips towards the future, we would see a very different world from the grainy, smiling faces despite the grimness of their lot. A world too wrapped-up in itself to care.

Pylon's dogs versus shadows sonic response to the poem makes for an adventurous listen: deep and at times, disorientating.
