Lee Pylon is the curator and presenter of the
excellent 'Kites And Pylons' radio show on
Doncaster's Sine FM, but recently he's crossed
the barricades to produce a welter of impressive
electronica in his own right..
.. 'Nagasaki Collapse Team' is a measured
reaction to the dystopia of 2020, where the
bleak austerity of Brutalist' and 'Negatives' is
countered by the pulsing ambience of the epic, six~
minute 'Whitebeam'..
Pylon claims late 1980s, but same of his creepy,
atmospheric vignettes have a whiff of 1960s Della
Derbyshire .. Great fun.

This duo delivers a great sound for a beat-driven, upbeat ride. Love the deep oozing bass over a groovy beat and the persistent kick/bass combo that drives dimples into the flooring beneath the speakers. Also appreciate the warm analog synths and electronic percussive sounds that supplement the rhythms. Above it all float ethereal morphing voices and simmering bubbling synths.
